
Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, certain hobbies and activities of days past have found themselves in the limelight again. Model trains, origami, sewing, knitting and crocheting, drawing, and yes, roller skating. Roller skating saw a surge in popularity again during spring and summer this year. It’s a healthy activity that families can do together and it can be done indoors or outdoors. It’s National Roller Skating Month! Here are places you and your kiddos can go roller skating on the southside!

Outdoor Skating
West Creek Reservation- West Creek has a fairly flat loop trail at Bluebird Point that is perfect for roller skating!
Mill Stream Run Reservation- Mill Stream Run boasts a mostly flat long paved path all the way through the park along Valley Parkway.
Ohio & Erie Canal Reservation- O & E Canal has a flat paved path that goes along the canal, and includes loops that are also fairly flat.
Seven Hills- Seven Hills has a flat paved bike path that you can pick up near the Rec Center.
