
This week is random acts of kindness week, and we are sharing ideas for expressing kindness! And, we even have a list for kiddos, because it’s never too early to teach kindness!
- Hold the door open
- Smile at strangers
- Be a good listener
- Compliment someone
- Put a coin in an expired meter
- Offer your help to someone struggling with something
- Clean up your mess or someone else’s mess in a public space
- Thank someone you appreciate
- Buy someone a small gift, like flowers, or socks with a theme they like
Here are some ideas to teach your kiddos how to be kind!
- Cleaning another sibling’s room
- Doing chores without being asked or doing extra chores
- Help make meals
- Listen to parents and adults
- Helping a younger sibling with reading, cleaning, or games
- Learning a morning or evening routine that may consist of, cleaning the living room when they wake up or before they go to bed, or starting up breakfast for themselves or other siblings
- Taking responsibility for any pets you own, like feeding the animal or playing with it
- Complimenting family and friends at random
- Making things for friends and family, like holiday cards or drawings
- Being nice to any kids at school or at your playgroup/homeschool group
